Florence, Italy Spring Break

Just returned from Florence, Italy. Had a wonderful time! I think I shot more Bicycle images than I ever have! Take a look at a few of them …

It was so nice to see some of the great works of Renaissance art…. Michelangelo, Botticelli, da Vinci and more. But, there was also a new photography museum (Fratelli Alinari) that had a great exhibit on controversy images.

Took a side trip to Pisa and Sienna, too.

It rained off and on quite a bit, but I loved the mood that it brought to my spirit and images. People were very friendly and helpful.  Italy was celebrating its’ 150 years of their republic. A lot of celebration of flags, dancing and great wine! I hope some of these images will speak to the good time I had in photographing this beautiful area.

Winter in Boise, Idaho

Had my first chance to get out and photograph this winter.  It’s been a difficult winter with the cold and wind. Time has been hard to find. This is so true for many of us. I was in Boise, Idaho last week. Did a little photography, but now I looking for some time to work on the images.

Had a great time while I was there. Ate at a lot of great places. Probably the best was the “Flying Pie Pizzeria”. It was even featured on “Man vs. Food” (4 out of 5 stars! On the pizza).

I see that Calvin Hollywood is gearing up to teach some on-line classes for Scott Kelby’s Training program. I think he’s one of the best Photoshop guru’s out there today.

Last little note…  Speaking of Adobe Evangelist, while I was in Boise I thought I saw Julieanne Kost picking up a coffee at a local coffee shop down town. Must have been a doppelganger! If she was really there let me know!
